PLEASE visually Check all Soccer Goals before any soccer activity is conducted on the Soccer field. If you find that the Goal is not secured properly do not use the area and keep all players away from the goal. When you show up for a game Home or away, and the game before you is leaving the game field. you still need to check both goals on your field regardless of the previous game. Treat each field as you are the 1st one to be on it for the day.
What to look for:
Anchors securing the rear posts to the ground either by Spikes, Augar,Cable,Chain Also check goal for secure Posts( crossbar, vertical upright, rear legs/sides) for hazards.
What to do if you find a unsecure Goal:
- Inform the opposing Head Coach
- Inform the Head Referee
- Do not conduct game or practice until the goal is properly secured.
- If the goal can not be secure properly the game will be cancelled and leave the area.
- Inform your age group coordinator of your experience, and the age group coordinator will inform the proper persons to have the issue addressed promply.
